FAQS

General

Why learn to SCUBA dive?

The earth is over 70% water. If you want to explore it you want to learn to SCUBA dive.

Do I need to be a good swimmer in order to scuba dive?

No, but you do need to be able to swim. One of the first things we’ll ask you to do is to swim 200 yds. or snorkel 400 yds. You can choose which, and there is no time limit. We’ll also ask you to float or tread water for 10 minutes. If neither of those is a problem for you, then your swimming skills are suitable for scuba!

How do I know if SCUBA diving is for me, I have never tried it before?

If you are unsure if diving is right for you schedule a Discover Scuba session with us first. For a small fee you can try before-you-buy SCUBA lesson. Click here for more details about this program.

Who can participate in SCUBA diving?

SCUBA diving is for anyone over the age of 10, in good physical condition and without medical problems related to the lungs, ears or sinuses download a medical statement here to see if you require the permission of a physician before starting SCUBA classes.

How much will SCUBA lessons cost?

There are three (3) cost involved in doing training with Adventure Scuba. Tuition, based on class format, Course Material, which is mandatory for all training formats, and Personal Gear which must be purchased prior to first lesson.

Why get my Personal Gear from Adventure Scuba I saw it cheaper online?

Price should not be your motivating factor in selecting personal gear it should be the fit. Adventure Scuba offers equipment at discount prices but more importantly we offer our students a FULL REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE any items purchased for use in classes are guaranteed to fit or we will replace them for free. Even we sometimes make mistakes in sizing a student for gear, you should not be responsible if we make a goof.
