Adventures in Diving (Advanced Open Water)

The Advanced Open Water Diver course or Adventures in Diving as it is being referred to now is meant to allow students to explore other diving related interests and increase comfort and experience under the direct supervision of a diving professional. Adventures in Diving is just that, a collection of experiences guided by your instructor and by your interests. Five dives make up the Adventure in Diving course and two of them (deep and navigation) are mandatory, the other three are up to you and your instructor. Options for these dives may include:

  • Underwater Naturalist
  • Night Diver
  • Wreck Diver
  • Search and Recovery
  • Underwater Photographer
  • Dry Suit Diver
  • Multilevel Diver
  • Drift Diver
  • Cavern Diver
  • Boat Diver
  • Ice Diver

The Adventures in Diving Course like Adventure divesSpecialties and Rescue Diver courses require the student to purchase course material and prepare at home prior to the in water portion of the program.

Adventures in Diving takes place at Lake Hydra and takes one weekend to complete. The five selected dives are performed over those two days and complete briefings and debriefings take place. Successful completion of the Adventures in Diving Course allows the divers to participate in dives up to 100 ft deep and enrich your diving experiences much more deeply than that.

Adventures in Diving course is offered on almost every weekend we have Check Out dives scheduled. The tuition of the Adventures in Diving course is $595.00 and does not include eLearning, transportation to the park, rental gear (if needed) admission etc..
