The final step in the certification process is the Check Out Dives. These are performed after successful completion of both the academic and confined water training. Adventure Scuba offers Check Out Dives at Dutch Springs from April to October. Requiring a commitment of two days Adventure Scuba can complete your certification in only one weekend. You can check our trip calendar for upcoming scheduled Dutch Springs Training weekends. Space is limited on these weekends so reservations are required.
Dutch Springs is about 1-½ hours from Manhattan and you have the option of staying overnight in a local hotel, camping out at Dutch Springs or commuting both days to and from the city. Each day is made up of two dives each beginning with a briefing and ending with a debriefing and logging of the required dives. Adventure Scuba’s instructors go out of their way to make your experience a safe and enjoyable one. The tuition for the Open Water Dives are only $300. Students are responsible for gear rental, admission to the park, tank fills, transportation and accommodations if they choose to stay overnight.
All students must provide their own Mask, Snorkel, Fins and Boots and remember to bring a towel, dive tables and your logbook.
