Lake Hydra

During the spring and summer months Adventure Scuba offers it students the opportunity to complete their required Open Water Dives with us locally at Lake Hydra and to continue their training beyond the Open Water level.

Lake Hydra is a former quarry in Bethlehem Pennsylvania established to provide Divers of all levels the opportunity to enjoy its many diverse diving opportunities.

Its facilities include heated restrooms, heated showers & indoor changing areas.

Some of the underwater attractions you might see aside from the training platforms include:

• Airplane
• Tanker Truck
• Giant Crane
• Van and Car
• Fire Truck
• Cabin Cruiser
• Diamond Reef System
• And others…

These attractions are the reason Lake Hydra is known as “The Divers Amusement Park.” Lake Hydra is easy to get to and students requiring transportation should contact us to arrange car pool with others when available.

Adventure Scuba also offers Advanced Open Water training, Rescue Diver training and specialties at Dutch Springs on most of our scheduled Check Out weekends. Reservations are required for all Dutch Springs training.
