PADI's Enriched Air Diver course is the opportunity to learn how to safely use enriched air.
By diving with enriched air - nitrox rather than standard air you can extend your no decompression limits. This means more time underwater safely. For example, if you dive to 50 feet on air, your no decompression limit is 80 minutes. But, diving on an enriched air mixture of 36% you get 220 minutes of no decompression time – an increase of 140 minutes.
In addition diving with enriched air or sometimes call nitrox its said to be less fatiguing to the body, a benefit to older and younger dives alike.
