Professional Level Training

Adventure Scuba offers the opportunity to continue your diving education to the professional level. Participants must first complete the Divemaster program and then either continue to the level of Assistant Instructor or participate in a Instructor Development Course and become an Open Water Scuba Instructor. Either path offers the student the opportunity to work closely with our instructors and expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional.

Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. Upon successful completion of the course you will be qualified to assist in both confined and open water scuba training, lead the tour portions of certain open water dives and when interned introduce new divers to scuba by supervising Discover Scuba classes. Divemaster training requires academic sessions as well as pool and open water sessions and is done as an internship so time commitments are strictly up to the student. Training can be completed in a few weeks or a few months depending on your schedule. Tuition for Divemaster course is $599.99 plus course materials please contact us for more information.

Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the Instructor Development Course or can be completed separately. You’ll not only gain additional experience as a professional but you’ll also start learning the PADI System of diver education. Tuition for Assistant Instructor course is $750.00 and like the Divemaster program requires both academic and in-water training so contact us to set up a schedule for you.

Open Water Scuba Instructor course is your final step in the quest to become a PADI Instructor. During the Instructor Development Course, you’ll learn to use and adapt the PADI System of diver education to individual student needs. Comprehensive training, supported by a wide variety of PADI educational materials, earns PADI Instructors respect from both students and peers. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors may conduct a broad range of PADI programs from Discover Scuba to Divemaster. The tuition for the Instructor course is $1395.00 and includes the Assistant Instructor program or $650.00 for current Assistant Instructors plus course material. Instructor training is offered on a set schedule to coincide with the Instructor Examination, which is required for certification. Check our calendar and then contact us to register for an upcoming Instructor Development Course.
